Change default search engine in Edge browser

Microsoft Edge browser is built-in on Windows 10, default search engine for Microsoft Edge is Bing. However, you can change default search engine from Bing to Google or any other search engine in Microsoft Edge browser.

This post is here to show you how to set Google as default search engine in Edge on Windows 10. Who prefer Google over Bing can easily change the default settings and set Google as default search in Edge.

Change default search engine in Edge

Step 1:
Launch the Edge browser in Windows 10 (Start > Type Edge > Enter) and type www.Google.com in the browser address bar > Enter.

Step 2:
Now, click open More Actions in Edge and then choose the Settings option displayed at the bottom of the scroll list.

Step 3:
Scroll to the end > Click View Advanced Settings.

Step 4:
Scroll down, click on “Change search engine

Step 5:
Bing is the default search engine currently. Click on www.google.com > Set as default.

Step 6:
Try to type anything on the address bar, for e.g.Bikini. Result will return under Google.

Google is already set as your default search engine in Edge browser in Windows 10. If you wish to set other search provider, just repeat Step 1 to 6.
